Selection Procedure
The merit list will be compiled according to each financial outlet. Selection will be determined by the proportion of marks achieved in the undergraduate degree. The bank retains the authority to administer an online test.
In the event of two candidates achieving identical graduation percentages on the merit list, the candidate with more seniority in service at the Department of Posts shall be picked.
If the seniority in service is identical, the candidate will be chosen based on the date of birth.
The candidate must provide the precise percentage of marks obtained in their graduation, rounded to two decimal places.
The percentage marks will be calculated by dividing the total marks received by the candidate across all courses in all semesters/years by the aggregate maximum marks in all subjects, regardless of honors, optional, or additional optional subjects, if applicable.
This will also apply to those universities where class or grade is determined only by honors marks. Rounding off percentages will be deemed unacceptable under all circumstances.
In instances when the Board, institution, or Institute does not assign a percentage of marks and instead provides grades (e.g., GPA/CGPA/CQPI), these grades must be converted to the precise equal percentage of marks according to the formula stipulated by the college or institution.
Any discrepancies in the application form regarding the proportion of marks will result in immediate rejection of the application.
• Simply meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a candidate’s inclusion in the selection list.
The results of candidates who have qualified for different phases of the recruiting process, as well as the final selection list, will be published on the website.
