Eligibility Criteria

  • Flying Branch: Graduation with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or BE/B.Tech degree.
  • Ground Duty (Technical): B.E./B.Tech in specified engineering disciplines.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields like Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or Education.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)

  • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (Born between 02 Jan 2003 and 01 Jan 2007). CPL holders up to 26 years.
  • Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years (Born between 02 Jan 2001 and 01 Jan 2007).

Salary

  • Flying Officer: Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500 (Level 10).
  • Training Stipend: Rs. 56,100/- per month during one-year training.
  • Additional allowances as per branch and posting: Flying, Technical, Transport, Risk & Hardship, etc.

Application Fee

AFC Entry Examination Fee: Rs. 550/- plus GST (non-refundable)

Selection Procedure

AFSB Testing

Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test. Qualifying candidates proceed to the next stage.

Stage II: Psychological Test, Group Tests, and Interviews. For Flying Branch, the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) will be conducted. Candidates who have previously failed CPSS/PABT are ineligible.

Merit List

Candidates must qualify both written and AFSB tests. Merit is determined based on combined scores. Final selection depends on medical fitness, preferences, and availability of vacancies.

Candidates must apply online at https://afcat.edcil.co.in. Aadhaar is mandatory for registration.

Steps to Apply

  • Step I: Register personal and contact information. Receive User ID and Password via email/SMS.
  • Step II: Fill out personal, communication, qualification, and declaration sections. Upload photo and signature, and pay the application fee online.

Important Notes

  • Ensure all details are accurate before submission; no edits allowed post final submission.
  • Multiple applications using the same Aadhaar will result in only the latest one being considered.
  • Fees for duplicate applications are non-refundable.
